Dexus are currently seeking Expressions of Interest from Retail Operations Talent for both Assistant Operations and Operations Managers to join the team at either Indooroopilly or Gasworks Shopping Centres.

• Assistant Operations Managers support and coordinate operational excellence.
• Operations Managers lead, coach, and drive strategy.

Both roles represent a leadership position within the Centre Management team with a focus on:

• Driving continuous improvement and innovation in property operations, sustainability, safety and risk management.
• Assisting and or leading, coaching and guiding the operational team members to enhance performance and compliance.
• Supporting the Centre General Manager and National Operations Team in delivering business plan objectives.

You will make an impact by:

• Operational Excellence: Inspire and support teams to deliver exceptional service and maintain high-performing assets.
• Driving Compliance & Safety: Champion workplace health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
• Overseeing Essential Services: Manage maintenance programs, contractor performance, and procurement in line with company standards.
• Financial & Strategic Planning: Develop and manage operational and capital budgets, contribute to business planning, and identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
• Emergency Preparedness: Lead emergency response planning, including evacuation procedures and business continuity.
• Collaborate & Communicate: Partner with stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and uphold our values of trust, teamwork, and accountability.

About You

You are an adaptable, calm, and focused operations professional who excels at working independently, setting priorities, and delegating tasks. Whether supporting a team as an assistant or stepping up to lead, you thrive in collaborative and harmonious environments. You will bring:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or applicable career experience in operations or facility management with experience. Retail skills are desirable, however not essential.
• Proven experience in operations or facilities management within retail or property environments.
• Strong financial, contract, and project management capabilities.
• Sound knowledge of building systems, compliance, and risk management.
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement, communication, and administration.
• Proficient in relevant systems and applications.
• Understanding of relevant legislation operational best practice.
