General Labourer – Cabinet Making Workshop
Location: Perth – Inner/City
Pay: $30–$40 per hour + penalties
Hours: 7am–3pm (OT available before or after)
We’re seeking a reliable and hard-working General Labourer to join a busy cabinet-making workshop. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and perfect for someone who enjoys physical work and being part of a tight, young team. With the workshop expanding, this is a long-term opportunity with strong potential to transition into a permanent role ($25–$32 p/h).
Assist cabinet makers in daily workshop tasks.
Load and unload cabinets, timber, panels, and hardware safely.
Support cutting, measuring, and preparing components.
Help assemble cabinets, drawers, doors, and carcasses.
Sand, clean, and prepare items for laminating or finishing.
Maintain tools/equipment and report faults immediately.
Carry out basic quality checks before assembly.
Pack and prepare completed products for dispatch.
Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with OH&S.
Follow all safety guidelines and always wear PPE.
Cabinet making or woodworking experience desirable but not essential.
Able to use hand tools and basic workshop machinery safely.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Physically fit – able to lift and move heavy materials.
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
Friendly, young, and hardworking team.
Consistent hours – most workers average 45hrs/week.
Half-day Saturdays and Sunday work available.
OT options: 6–3 (1hr OT), 6–4 (2hrs OT), 7–4 (1hr OT).
Repeat attendance and reliability are extremely important – key reference check point.
Permanent rates after transition: $25–$32 p/h depending on experience.
