Mechanical Fitter  l $61 pr hr Base + Pens

🛠️ Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter with strong hands-on skills in the maintenance, overhaul and fault-finding of pumps, generators and associated mechanical equipment. This role involves both workshop based work, supporting our operations with reliable mechanical service and equipment uptime.

About the Role:

• Service, repair and overhaul pumps, generators, engines and rotating equipment
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical failures and implement effective repair solutions
• Perform strip-downs, rebuilds and testing of mechanical components
• Install, align and commission mechanical equipment on-site
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service reports
• Ensure all tasks comply with safety standards and procedures

🎓 Experience:

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent)
• Proven experience working on diesel generators, centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, or hydraulic systems
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical documentation
• Experience in field service work (preferred but not essential)
• White Card, Confined Space or Working at Heights (advantageous)
• Valid driver’s licence

💰 Benefits: Casual $61 base + Pens

🕘 38 hours/week Monday to Friday, some weekends may be required. Usual week is 45 hours.
