This role sits at the heart of their first\-line and business\-aligned risk function, working closely with senior leaders to uplift risk culture, strengthen controls, and support growth in a complex, fast\-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
<\/div>
<\/div>
⢠Own and enhance operational risk frameworks, policies, and processes across the business unit
<\/div>
<\/div>
⢠Oversee execution of the risk and control self\-assessment program, including identifying issues, emerging risks, and thematic trends
<\/div>
<\/div>
⢠Partner with business stakeholders to improve controls, uplift governance, and embed risk management into day\-to\-day decision making
<\/div>
<\/div>
⢠Support incident management, conduct root\-cause analysis, and drive remediation plans
<\/div>
<\/div>
⢠Lead and contribute to risk reporting, dashboards, committee papers, and senior management updates
<\/div>
<\/div>
⢠Monitor compliance with regulatory expectations and support readiness for internal\/external audits
<\/div>
<\/div>
⢠Provide advice, challenge, and coaching to the business on operational risk matters
<\/div>

What We're Looking For
<\/div>
<\/div>
⢠4â8+ yearsâ operational risk experience within financial services (banking experience strongly preferred)
<\/div>
<\/div>
⢠Strong understanding of risk frameworks, control environments, and APRA\/regulatory requirements
<\/div>
<\/div>
⢠Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate risk insights into actionable improvements
<\/div>
<\/div>
⢠Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge and influence senior leaders
<\/div>
<\/div>
⢠High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and the ability to operate in an agile environment
<\/div>
