Are you a strategic leader with experience managing operations on a larger scale? We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager VIC / TAS to oversee the performance of multiple stations within Victoria and Tasmania, ensuring operational efficiency, strong leadership, and outstanding customer service across all locations.
In this pivotal role, you will be accountable for steering overall profitability, optimising fleet utilisation, enhancing customer service outcomes, and delivering sustained revenue growth across the network. Your leadership will ensure seamless alignment with broader corporate strategy and financial objectives. Additionally, you will mentor and guide a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and exceptional service standards.

Some of the key responsibilities include:
Promote Europcar’s services to exceed company and customer expectations.
Manage state-wide expenses to meet financial targets and KPIs.
Lead the VIC/TAS Fleet Operations team with a hands-on approach when needed.
Optimise the business network in line with the company's connectivity strategy.
Develop key account relationships to drive revenue growth.
Oversee recruitment, training, performance reviews, and employee relations.
Collaborate with Fleet teams to ensure vehicle availability matches customer needs.
Partner with Finance to implement audits and minimise risk.
Build strong relationships with Sales and support key tenders.
Maintain positive ties with external stakeholders and evaluate outsourced operations.
Drive ancillary sales, improve NPS, and achieve location performance targets.
To be considered for this position you should possess:
5+ years of senior management experience overseeing multi-site operations or large teams.
Strong leadership and people management skills with experience leading remote and on-site teams.
Customer-focused with a background in operations, sales, and customer experience.
Proven ability to drive revenue growth and profitability across a state or territory.
Proficient in financial management, cost control, and resource allocation.
Skilled in motivating teams to achieve KPIs and common goals.
Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills.
Resilient, adaptable, and able to thrive under pressure.
Willing to travel across VIC/TAS
Car rental industry or similar retail experience preferred, with fleet management skills desirable.
