About the role

Play a crucial role supporting our sales director and team to price and prepare work. Assist our estimators reviewing drawings and reports, building clear scopes and costings and producing personalised quotes. You'll record inclusions, exclusions and assumptions in our CRM, complete handovers and record outcomes. Your work helps a growing company run on schedule with steady margins, fewer surprises and faster starts.

What are we looking for

Essential

• 7+ years estimating in piling/shoring, ground retention or civil critical
• Ability to reading structural/civil drawings and geotech reports and do basic take-offs
• Solid cost build-ups across labour, plant, materials, subs and prelims
• Confident using estimation software
• Clear written scopes: inclusions, exclusions, assumptions
• Confident with Google Sheets/Excel skills (lookups, pivots, rate build-ups)
• Comfortable using CRM and keeping records current
• Confident communicator with engineers, clients, suppliers, ability to work well with site and office teams
• Delivers to deadlines, managing multiple quotes at once
• Quick learner with ability to adapt to new tools and processes
• Continuous improvement mindset

Nice to have

• Hands-on familiarity with hand piling, CFA, basements and retention
• Simple markups/site maps in AutoCAD (or similar)
• Basic scheduling of durations and productivity rates
• Knowledge of Sydney site constraints and local practices
