Job Description

Aurora Dairies are currently seeking two Senior Farm Hands or Farm Hands for a dairy farm in Hawkesdale, located 30 minutes from Warrnambool in South West Victoria. 

This farm is approximately 700ha with a mixture of perennial and annual rye grass pastures. Currently milking 1,400 cows through a 80 bale rotary shed with ACR’s and auto teat spray, this farm is 70% Autumn and 30% Spring calving. This role has a mixture of work in the dairy and tractor work, experience in both areas is highly desirable.

This role will include tasks the areas of:

• Driving and upholding Animal Health and Safe Operating Procedures.
• All aspects of milking.
• Animal husbandry.
• Pasture management.
• Machinery operation.
• Repairs and maintenance.

• Past dairy industry experience is desirable for this position, but we may consider inexperienced applicants with the right attitude.
