Structural Engineer

About the Role
This diverse role will suit an ambitious, results driven and experienced Structural Engineer who has a proven track record in building and maintaining key client relationships and providing technical leadership across the structural discipline. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate good industry experience across Industrial, Infrastructure and Resources, with Buildings and Defence experience also considered favourably.

As the successful candidate your technical expertise will be complemented by strong local networks, competencies in business development and the ambition and drive to further expand Fyfe's client base and project portfolio.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Develop and review structural designs for buildings, bridges, industrial and infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Conduct structural inspections, risk assessments, and recommend corrective measures to ensure safety and compliance.
• Apply innovative solutions using the latest engineering tools and practices to solve complex design challenges.
• Manage key client relationships.

Key requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering with 5+ years relevant experience

• Proven track record in project delivery in a consulting environment

• Strong industry knowledge and presence

• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining key client relationships

• Chartered Engineer/RPEQ/ preferred

• Knowledge and competence in the use of relevant software such as RAPT, SPACE GASS, ETABS and SAFE

• A passion for mentoring and eagerness to develop junior engineers

• Well versed with current local building codes and standards

• A strong communicator and able to successfully manage a project from concept to construction documentation

• Competence in preparing reports and technical specifications

• Ability to produce design, inspection report, assessment and strengthening and repair of bridge structures would be desirable
