Trade Assistant  l  Canning Vale  l  $36 pr hr Base + Pens

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Trade Assistant to support workshop operations in a busy industrial environment. This hands-on role involves assisting tradespeople with the assembly, maintenance, and testing of engineered equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

About the Role:

• Assist tradespeople with mechanical assembly and disassembly
• Prepare tools, parts, and materials for workshop jobs
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Support testing and inspection activities under supervision
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment including high pressure cleaning
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures

🎓 Experience:

Essential:

• Previous experience as a Trade Assistant or in a mechanical / workshop environment
• Good mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand and power tools
• Strong safety awareness and reliable work ethic
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
• Forklift licence

Desirable:

• Experience in heavy engineering, manufacturing, mining, or oil & gas
• Rigging, dogging or other relevant tickets
• Mechanical pre-apprenticeship or trade studies

💰 Benefits: $36.00 per hour Base + Pens

🕘 38 hours/week Monday to Friday standard 45 hour week
