Opportunity

We're looking for an enthusiastic Piggery Attendant to join our farming team just outside of Millmerran, QLD. This is a full-time role, perfect for someone wanting to build a career or some work experience in agriculture. You'll work alongside experienced farm staff, learning all aspects of pig care, production and animal welfare - with the chance to progress and further develop your skills in livestock production.

Reporting to the Farm Manager, the purpose of this role is to be a key player in keeping our pigs healthy, happy and well cared for.

About the Role

As a key player in the day-to-day operations of our farm, you'll be responsible for:

• Feeding, monitoring and caring for our pigs - ensuring top-notch animal health and welfare
• Carrying out health checks, administering treatments and following vaccination programs
• Maintaining clean pens, equipment and facilities to the highest standards
• Record animal health and production data accurately
• Learn and apply biosecurity and safety practices

About You

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

• Experience working within a piggery environment preferred, but not essential - we'll train you!
• A strong commitment to animal welfare and biosecurity
• A positive can-do attitude that fits our core values of trust, integrity, quality, efficiency and innovation
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays when needed
• Physical fitness and comfortable with hands-on farm work
