Responsibilities
We are seeking a proactive, technically strong engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for:
– Providing regular, professional, and friendly communication with our valued clients.
– Undertaking site inspections, collecting measurements using appropriate instrumentation, applying sound problem-solving skills, preparing detailed design drawings, and prescribing effective remediation methodologies.
– Preparing accurate, high-quality engineering reports.
– Completing stormwater and structural design tasks across a variety of projects.
– Managing subcontractors and trade service providers as required.
– Maintaining and updating weekly project programs.
– Liaising with key stakeholders, including property owners, councils, and utility authorities.
– Fulfilling WHS responsibilities in line with our Safety Management System.
– Delivering higher-order design projects and remedial scopes/specifications for Class 1, 2, and 3 buildings, as well as community precinct projects—covering both new construction and modifications to existing structures.
– Contributing to large-scale residential, commercial, and medium-rise projects.
– Overseeing Design and Building Practitioner (DBP) projects (DPB registration preferred but not essential).
– Producing, reviewing, and checking designs to ensure compliance with relevant standards and codes.
– Delivering design calculations, reports, and drawings with minimal supervision.
– Preparing project briefs, scopes of work, and fee proposals.
– Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team environment.
– Some Interstate travel may be required.
– Mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
– Assist Executive Team as required.
About You
– Minimum of four years’ post-graduate experience in the Australian building and construction sector within an engineering consultancy role, with active progression toward CPEng accreditation through Engineers Australia.
– A self-motivated, technically capable engineer who can work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
– Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal communication and high-quality report writing skills.
– Candidates should be extremely competent with software packages including AutoCAD, SLB (Slabs), SpaceGass, Bluebeam and Revit.
– Valid Australian Drivers License and White Card.
